What would you do if you were forced to leave your home and everything you knew behind?
The Shenandoah National Park spans many acres of land throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains. It offers a wide variety of activities such as hiking, camping, horseback riding, fishing, and bird watching. Before the park became a national landmark, it was a home to many families. The residence of the mountains would continue to grow in number over the next century and a half and would set their roots for generations to come. The following interactive story is told through "chapters" where you can click on the various images or buttons to be taken to the next chapter in the tale of the park and its inhabitants. It's up to you to decide if what happened to the over 450 families of the mountains is right or not. You can return to the beginning at anytime by clicking on the button labeled, "the beginning". Good luck and enjoy the ride!
